How long does it take to complete my program?

How long it takes you to complete your program depends on the program you choose. All of our programs are offered as either Full Time during the day or Part Time during the evening.

PROGRAM AND LENGTH:

Cosmetology:  
1500 hours/50 Weeks full time/75 Weeks part time
Barbering:
1500 hours/50 Weeks full time/75 Weeks part time
Hairstyling:
1200 hours/40 Weeks full time/60 Weeks part time
Esthetics:
600 hours/20 Weeks full time/30 Weeks part time
Nail Technician:
600 hours/20 Weeks full time/30 Weeks part time                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

 

When I graduate will I have my license?

Once you have completed your program you are required by the State of Colorado to take a state board exam. The state board exam consists of two separate exams which is has added cost separate from your education. The first exam is a practical, which is all hands on. The second part is a written exam. Once you have passed both exams you will be given your Colorado State license. Examinations are administered by PSI. You can go to PSI online for more information on the exams.
 
We prepare our students with board preparation and practice exams.

Do you offer financial assistance?

Yes! We except Federal Financial Aid to those who qualify. You can apply for Federal Financial Aid by going to www.fafsa.ed.gov. We also offer monthly payment plans for students.

Can I transfer Hours from another school?

Yes. We will happily work with transferring students but cannot guarantee all credits from other school will be accepted.

Do I need to purchase books and other materials?      

We have worked with vendors to provide our students with the an extraordinary Kit at an exceptional cost for each program (the Kit includes all necessary text books and other materials)

The Academy Facility

Montage Academy, herein referred to as The Academy, is a fully Accredited Career Academy providing basic, intermediate and advanced training in the fields of Cosmetology, Hairstyling , Esthetician and Nail Technician.  The Academy is located near 88th ave and Pierce in Westminster All Teaching Staff Members are Board Certified.

 The Academy occupies 9000 square feet of well lit, air conditioned and modernly equipped floor space containing; 2 dispensaries, 2 classrooms, 3 facial and body beds, 3 Classroom treatment beds, a salon area, 32 styling stations, 5 shampoo stations, 6 manicuring tables, 5 pedicure stations and much more!  The Academy equipment, for both visual training and practical purposes is comparable to that found in a salon atmosphere.
